These open-ended experiences invite children to follow their interests, build confidence and develop a strong sense of self as they explore their world safely. The Bayswater Child Care Association prides itself on our community engagement. At our neighbourhood centre, The DEN, we provide a safe venue for a variety of programs designed to engage and educate children, families and adults from the local community. We seek to promote learning activities and friendships, support minority and vulnerable groups, and assist families in building networks and accessing local support services.
Under the NQS, childcare services are assessed and rated for the quality of education and care they provide. These ratings give parents a clear understanding of how well a service meets national standards, helping them make the best choice for their child’s needs. Our centre features engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments, designed to spark curiosity, creativity and a love for learning. With a play-based curriculum, children are encouraged to explore, discover and grow in a safe and supportive setting. We extend our learning programs beyond the classroom with an exciting events calendar, offering a variety of excursions, incursions and cultural celebrations throughout the year. Alongside our purpose-built facilities, we provide fresh, nutritious meals every day, prepared by our talented on-site cook, who caters to all dietary requirements.

I lead with empathy and collaboration, supporting my team to reflect on their practice and continuously grow. We aim to provide rich, engaging, and developmentally appropriate experiences that inspire and challenge children in all the right ways.When speaking with families, I always acknowledge  that home is a child’s first teacher. At the same time, I help them understand the added benefits of a dedicated early learning environment. Our curriculum is play-based, intentionally designed, and led by trained educators who know how to observe, extend, and scaffold each child’s learning.
It has made such a difference in our routine and being able to return to work knowing that she is happy and creating meaningful relationships. With our New Beginnings program, your baby will be paired with a primary teacher who will provide personalized attention and nurture them through every milestone—within a caring and cohesive community. During this time, his physical growth and motor development will slow. The orientation process is flexible to meet a family’s individual needs, though we recommend two to three orientation sessions before the child’s first full  day.
