Dr H Eli Joubert, is a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist with expertise and experience in general adolescent and adult psychotherapy. He holds several professional registrations, trainings and accreditations allowing him to lead a team of clinicians. Like all clinicians in the Service, he places much importance on providing a non-judgmental, discreet, and confidential service to both individuals and couples. Neurodiversity Assessment Ltd offer autism assessments for adults under the NHS Right to Choose scheme.
She has a particular interest in trauma-informed approaches to assessment and in improving access to psychological care for autistic individuals. This presentation provides an overview of creating truly inclusive educational environments where neurodivergent learners can flourish. We'll explore key principles of neurodiversity-affirming practice, moving beyond awareness to action. The session will emphasise the importance of understanding individual strengths, fostering positive learning identities, and building collaborative partnerships between educators, families, and support professionals. We will also give practical examples of how these principles are applied within The Haven, an online school designed specifically for neurodivergent learners.



They state that for a child assessment there must be a medical opinion (Psychiatrist or Paediatrician), a psychological opinion (Clinical or Educational Psychologist) and a Speech and Language Therapist assessment. This is because there are so many other difficulties that can look like Autism, but these three areas of expertise are needed to cover the main ones. If any assessment you’re looking at does not have these 3 clinicians it is more likely that your child could have their needs missed, or be misdiagnosed. This would mean that support designed to support your child, might not meet their needs.

For children and young people Neurodiversity Assessment who are not attending school, we will consider referrals made jointly by the family and another health/education/social care professional. Navigating university life can be challenging, especially for individuals with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is why we have a range of dedicated support services to ensure that students with ASC feel comfortable, empowered, and have equal opportunities to succeed. We know radical change is needed in this sector and we are working with the NHS and services to improve long-term support for neurodivergent children, adults and their families.
Families living with autism and other neurodivergent conditions can now access 24 hour support and advice, the Deputy Minister for Social Services Julie Morgan has announced. Due to the increase in attendees, the IAS reviewed the structure of the forum and decided to make the second hour less formal, thus increasing the opportunity for socialising. The IAS were hopeful that this would increase the numbers of people who felt able to socialise and boost their confidence of socialising in smaller groups of people. The advisory group made all key decisions about the event, including the topics of the workshops, the workshop facilitators, the format of the event and the name of the event. At Mirus, we are keen to promote neurodiversity and it’s one of the main reasons we created the role of Mirus Representatives. A Mirus Representative is someone who represents the views of the people supported by us in each area. At the event, we spoke about some of the fantastic projects people supported by Mirus have been involved in, such as taking part in Pride Cymru’s largest parade in 2023. In support of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Cardiff Council held an event called ‘Neurodivergent Friendly Cardiff’ to begin the conversation about how to make Cardiff a more neuro-inclusive city.

Cygnet is a programme for parents and carers of children and young people aged 5 to 18 who have been diagnosed with an autistic spectrum condition (ASC). I hope this new listening line will help to deliver meaningful improvements to the lives of neurodivergent people and their families, and become a valued source of support. Jennifer is passionate about giving employees the right support and environment so they can be at their best. She works with adults who have been diagnosed with various neurodivergent conditions, as well as within organisations to educate teams about neurodiversity. From 2019, work to improve neurodevelopmental services was included as a key focus for the programme. The programme published a Vision for Neurodevelopmental Support & Services, which argued for a whole systems approach which would break down barriers between services for children and young people.
