Beautiful calm environment for children to bring out their creative sides, we've been attending the holiday programs for years now and I'm always amazed at what the girls bring home. We believe that everyone is an artist, and art making is an activity to be enjoyed by people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Our vision is to create an art school to encourage art making, experiment different art forms, and to inspire, to connect with one another, and to discover oneself and the world. This course is an introduction to how to approach drawing. It is designed for the absolute beginner or for more experienced artists wishing to re-examine the fundamentals.
These fun-filled workshops are suitable for ages 9 and over as it does require some patience. Art Hideaway is such a beaut space where kids get to develop their skills in, and appreciation of, art. We want to assure you that enrolling your children in our classes means they won't be used for promotional purposes. Adults and carers are more than welcome to take photos of their own child participating in our classes. Our fun and engaging  workshops are designed to keep even the most finicky children entertained, while also helping them develop important life skills. There is a specific interest in portraiture and still life. Paper is provided to drawing students for the course, and drawing materials are available for use within the class. Drawing students are not required to purchase any materials in order to do a course. However, if students already have pencils and rubbers etc., however, it is helpful if they are used in the class. This can be arranged if there is a vacancy or cancellation in another class time, and the student who has missed a class is available to attend at that other class time. There is no absolute guarantee that a replacement class will always be available for a specific class time requested by a student who has missed a class. Replacement classes are organised on an 'if possible' basis. The opportunity, to perhaps do a replacement class, is not the same as a credit for a missed class. Students returning from the previous term will be offered places for the new term before any new students are enrolled. Enrolments for the new term are finalised towards the very end of the current term.
